> ## Agent Instructions
> Start with /introduction/getting-started. Use the Direct Query API (POST /api/lens/query) with the Newton Fusion model (text, image, and video reasoning) or the Newton Omega encoder (time-series embeddings). ATAI_API_ENDPOINT is the base URL https://platform.u1.archetypeai.app with no version path; every endpoint path begins with /api. Pages whose descriptions are marked (Archived) document the legacy Lens runtime — do not use them for new projects.

# OpenTelemetry Configuration

> Descriptions of environment variables that need to be configured to allow OpenTelemetry analysis of your organization's activity.

## Gate

| Variable | Description |
| - | - |
| `OTEL_EXPORTER_OTLP_ENDPOINT` | Expects a gRPC origin (`http://host:4317`). When empty, all OpenTelemetry Protocol (OTLP) pipelines are disabled. |

## Per-Signal Endpoint Overrides

| Variable | Signal |
| - | - |
| `OTEL_EXPORTER_OTLP_TRACES_ENDPOINT` | Traces |
| `OTEL_EXPORTER_OTLP_METRICS_ENDPOINT` | Metrics |
| `OTEL_EXPORTER_OTLP_LOGS_ENDPOINT` | Logs |

## Resource Attributes

| Variable | Default | Notes |
| - | - | - |
| `OTEL_RESOURCE_ATTRIBUTES` | unset | Comma-delimited `key=value` pairs. Highest priority; overrides any matching resource attributes. Example: `service.namespace=mycompany,k8s.cluster.name=k8s-prod-us-east-1` |

## Tuning

Only set these if there's a specific need; the defaults are suitable for most deployments.

| Variable | Default | Description |
| - | - | - |
| `OTEL_METRIC_EXPORT_INTERVAL` | `60000` ms | Metrics push interval. |
| `OTEL_BSP_EXPORT_TIMEOUT` | `30000` ms | Trace batch export timeout. |
| `OTEL_BLRP_EXPORT_TIMEOUT` | `30000` ms | Log batch export timeout. |

## Helm

`PLATFORM_ENVIRONMENT_TAG` and `PLATFORM_VERSION` must come from `global.platformEnvironmentTag`
and `global.app.version` in `values.yaml`. Setting them in per-service `env:` blocks is rejected
at render time.
