# About the Fine-Tuning Service API

> An API to upload and manage the data files on which you wish to run inference jobs or agents.

Fine-tuning is a process by which you train one of Archetype's models with a data set
specifically designed to optimize the model's performance for your use case. This API supports
creating, managing, and retrieving results from fine-tuning jobs. For more information about
