To create and manage optimizations, click the Optimizations option in the sidebar. This opens a page listing all existing optimizations, sorted by how long ago the optimization was created (newest first). Also available are popup buttons that let you filter by blueprint and status, as well as a search field, to help you locate the optimization you’re looking for.

Creating an Optimization

You can create a new optimization by clicking the + Create button at the top-right, just above the optimization list. This opens the New Optimization page. The left side of this page features your configuration options, while the right displays the current JSON definition of the optimization. To configure your new optimization:
1

Name your optimization (optional)

Give your optimization a name that will help you find it in the optimization list later. If you leave this field blank, a suitable optimization name will be created for you, named optimize-<timestamp>.
2

Select a blueprint

Choose the blueprint you want to optimize from the palette on the left. This replaces the blueprint palette with the configuration panel to optimize that blueprint.
3

Configure the optimization

Configure the various options listed for the optimization. The JSON request body preview on the right will update automatically as you change the configuration.
4

Create the optimization

When everything is configured the way you want it, click the Create optimization button at the bottom of the window.
Once the optimization is created, it begins processing. The optimization progress window appears at this point.

Viewing Optimization Details

To view details about an existing optimization, click on the optimization in the optimization list. The optimization details page has two top-level tabs:
  • The Progress tab displays progress details about the optimization, including how many trials have run so far, runtime, and so forth. Also available on this tab are sub-tabs listing the optimization’s validation examples, training examples, and search space details.
  • The Results tab shows the best macro F1 score, the success rate, and details about each of the trials. Each trial offers the option to promote that trial into a blueprint; the trial that scored the best has a bold Promote button, while lower-scoring trials have more subtle Promote buttons.
